Mashed potatoes with DOP Terre di Siena olive oil

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg yellow-fleshed potatoes
  • 200 ml whole milk
  • 24 g of DOP Terre di Siena olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Nutmeg to taste

 

Preparation:

Peel the potatoes and cut them into evenly sized pieces. Boil them in salted water for 20–25 minutes until tender. Drain and mash them directly into a pot using a potato masher.

Return the pot to low heat, add DOP Terre di Siena olive oil, and stir. Gradually pour in the milk, stirring continuously, until achieving a creamy consistency.

Season with salt and nutmeg, and transfer to a serving bowl.

Finish the dish with a sprinkle of black pepper before serving.
